I woke up this morning to SMS messages about last nights fire in BKK. I was shocked and worried, I worry for my friends that I have been unable to contact so far, to find where they are and that they are safe and sound.

I would like to suggest to Admin or one of the moderators that we hold a mark of respect for those that have lost their lives and also for their family members that have started the new year with such tradegy.

I would like to suggest we have a 10 minute silence from midnight tonight, Thai time.

As a suggestion No messages, no votes, no testi's, no journal's & no forum or comments. 10 Minutes is not a lot of time to give up to show a mark of respect to those affected by this tragedy.

Please join me, by logging off for only 10 minutes tonight at midnight.

Kindest regards

Darren

I wish to thank everyone that observed the 10 minute silence with me. I have sent those that commented just before and after a personal message. Thank you

Darren

I'm back. I had the world clock on the internet and logged out at exactly 12:00 and logged back in at 12:10.

Good idea. I hope all that were injured have a speedy recovery. RIP for those who passed.

SweetieBabie, wow so you survived the 10 minutes of silence. What a heroic act of you... almost a prevarication of your civil rights, uh? Next time you want to contribute to a Journal that talks about such a tragic even in which almost 60 lives were lost, maybe, think twice. Your comment shows quite a lack of empathy and sensibility. It's almost offensive, I would say.
