Today I thought I would do Renewable Energy comparison between Thailand & Denmark. I picked Denmark because  we have a little idea of what it is like from Khun Nicky (Pandorea) journals.

Thailand’s energy consumption would be derived from renewable sources by the year 2011.

The workshop also released a Thai Ministry of Energy estimate that Thailand’s potential

renewable energy resources exceed 14,000MW (Thai Ministry of Energy 2003). To put this in

perspective, Thailand’s peak demand in 2007 is 22,586MW.  And don't forgetP2170011.jpgNorth Thailand Geothermal  ResourcesWhat are your kids and grand-kids gonna say? That this generation of Khun Thai was wise and thoughtful to make a transition to sustainable  Reneweable Energy. Or are they gonna say that this generation was selfish and acted  with little regard for future generations.

Good to see your ongoing interest in the area and thanks for some of the info.

The last shot is the San Kampaeng hot springs which is about 30kms SE of Chiang Mai. I didn't see much being powered except the facilities & baths when I went.

However, if you look at the signs outside the baths perhaps the energy demands are larger (Check the second sign),

Would be interesting to see the a further cost/benefit analysis for Denmarks biomass energy..

When the Danes started using hay to produce biomass energy, the energy spent on transporting the hay to the installations (by trucks, naturally) far exeeded the output from the biomass plants...

Is this still valid?
