Logged into my work Outlook Express account this morning and all messages from my inbox from saturday back to sept 08 are missing....weird...freaky...not in any other folder on the computer....nor are they in the company server in Singapore.....Only inbox is affected....outbox, delete, draft folders are all ok.

Any ideas???

Did you back up outlook program recently?

It happended to me once after I had just back up the program.

Many emails in INBOX were missing.

I had to ask my colleague to forward some important emails to me.

archive or personal folder?

that's odd... never happened with Thunderbird ;-)

Have you checked the folder where the .dbx files are stored ?

If not, right click "outbox" for instance and choose properties.

Then note the path appearing, especially the folder.

Just go to the folder where this .dbx file is stored, maybe you'll find a copy of inbox.dbx or a .dbx file that is big enough to contain your inbox.
