Police were this morning searching for two men who robbed three foreign journalists early this morning.

The journalists from Portugal and were asleep in their chalets at Nutbush Boma Lodge in Magaliesburg at the time of the robbery at around 4am.

Colonel Hangwani Mulaudzi, spokesman for the national police said one of the robbers pointed a gun at one of the journalists, told him to lie down and then ransacked his room. They then went to the room of the other two journalists who remained asleep while the robbers ransacked their rooms.

"They took laptops, cameras and passports. No shots were fired and no one was injured. The other two did not see or hear anything. The journalist only raised the alarm at 6:30. We don't know why he told the lodge so late, maybe he was scared and wanted to make sure that the robbers had left before doing anything.

"We have already combed the place and busy tracking the suspects and will hopefully make an arrest soon. We have a good lead," Mulaudzi said.

It is not yet known how the man gained entry into the chalet.
