Morning folks,

yesterday I have been to probably the smallest but cutest thai restaurant of whole Germany

It is located idylically in allotment site in an inoperative old railway waggon from 1928.

The history of the waggon is quite interesting. King Peter Alexander from Yugoslavia ordered that luxurious waggon from Germany and travelled throughout Europe. The Nazis used it as a mobile headquarter and after the war it served for the american allied forces as a mobile headquarter as well.

First german chancellor Konrad Adenauer used it during his election campaign and travelled Germany in this waggon. Decades later this waggon was discovered by some local railway fanatics in Duisburg. It was in a shabby, rusty and poor condition. They brought it here an restored it and turned it into a restaurant.

Have a look inside - the new owners - she is from Chiang Mai and her hubby is from my town are trying hard to offer decent quality thai and german food at amazingly low prices.

Sorry - cant insert the link - you need to c&p into your browser - here are some pics:

Morning Gee,

I can get there within five minutes from my house by bicycle..it is just a narrow path leading there. So there is no police patrol along the way and we can drink a bit more than allowed.
