When you think of something "evil", what comes to mind? Is it the ghosts or vampires you see in the movies, or is it something a little more common? I work in a jail here in Hawaii and throughout the 18 + years I've worked here, I have seen quite a bit. Recently, there was a horrific crime that shattered the lives of many people. A gunman, for no reason at all went on a shooting spree and within a matter of probably no more than 30 minutes left a mother of 10 dead and another lady and man critically injured. A completely senseless crime!

For the last week, I have looked the individual who committed this crime in the face for 8 hours a day. Not a single sense of remorse has come from him....not one bit, and just yesterday he starts to complain to me that he can't call and get in touch with his father! I have to tell you, trying to be professional and keep my personal comments to myself is often difficult, but I have to do it. I wanted to tell this "monster" that I would like to let the children of Mrs. Nguyen call their mother, but that is no longer possible because he murdered her!, instead my comment to this individual was simply limited to "too bad, go away".

Is there evil in this world, you bet, sometimes closer than you think!

Well for me, evil is my mind or I'm an evil when I let my darkness desire to control my mind. Everybody has this evil and the one you see is the one who let the evil to control his mind and order body to do a bad thing.

Dan501 : I understand how's work in the prison ,I and you we do different things ,I went there for taught the Thai prisoners for meditation classes and drama.I do it for free it's not my job,But i am glad too.Lots of them changed in the good way,They understand, the accepted,they ready to face the truth that how many years they will be inside.But For those kind of Evil whom could killed there own parents, i think it's take times to change them or could not change them at all.
