Last week I went to Chaing Rai with Thais whose relative would do tam bun.

About 6AM monks came to their house and villagers gave sticky rice to monk. Why sticky rice in North part of Thai? coz most of villager moved from Isan (North-west of Thailand) area so that most of ppl speak Isan Language not northern language.

During monks were eating, we just pray to Buddha (I think) but this 1 hour? I felt very long?.sorry Buddha I am not so religious even if I am Buddest.

After that we went to temple. As you can see this day was mid-week so that you can not find child or young ppl. Children went to study and most of young ppl went to work to city like Bangkok.

This is the first time to see this in Thai Ta rai (I think) this is kinda rocket.

In the temple there is a ceremony to tam bun. You can see some goods in right side. And correct some donation from attendance. Of course I donated as well but not much.

Then calculate how much money we will donate to the temple. It was about 47,000B. We thought it was enough but the organizer of tam bun was not satisfied so added 3000B up then now it was more than 50,000B. He looked so happy?Some were donated to elementary school.

This is the house I stayed this time?. I can not believe it. I have no idea how much does it cost if I build in Japan. But when I heard the cost?ummm not so expansive (4million baht) but still lots of money. Anyhow I like this kind log house. I wanna live this kind of house for future.

After the Tam bun, we went to sightseeing in Chaing rai. This is the border of Myanmar and Thai. Still expecting fight? I think so too? so you can see bankuu. I don?t know how can I say in ENG.

Then we went to Mae Fah Luang Gerden. I think Mae Fah Luang is the name who is mother of King of Thailand(right?). When I saw her picture, I felt how she was good, kind, royalty and so on. I love her face very much.. I was sabaai jai mak mak.

Anyway this is really beautiful garden. I think this is one of the most beautiful gardens in Thailand. Entrance fee is 80B each. (Thai ppl as well) but for me it is worth to pay. If you want to see three places(princess Mother Commerative Hall, Gerden and The Doi Tung Royal Villa) it costs 150B.

Then we went to mae salong. On the the way to get there, we drove tribe villages and villages. They were kind surprise why we know this road. This is just short cut road. Anyway, this town was famous for Chinese and Sakura. You can see a lot of Chinese character here (actually you can see in most place of Chaing Rai ) and still speak in Chinese. Sakura ummm I saw a few but not much coz not season now. I miss sakura in Japan now. But it was nothing much to do there.

CF) this is the place I like to see SAKURA in Japan but kinda far from Tokyo.

At Night we went to night bazer in nai muang chaing rai. At that time there was a show from Pattaya tiffany (transvestite cabaret show http://www.tiffany-show.co.th) but my Thais wanted us to see Northern Thai traditional dance so they looked not happy..

On loy Kratong day, it was raining so we just went to Mea fah Luang Univ. to meet their san. This Univ is really new and so beautiful. It is good to study coz nothing to do around there except study and play sport (^^:::: like MSU na 55555

At night I did loy Kratong but just along? I hope I was with somebody?.. At first I wanted to go Sukhoo Thai? but must be very clouded?.ok next time? but I don?t know when (^^;;;;

I think this is only for north (or isan ) area do this balloon (I forgot Thai bun fai? I don?t think so this means rocket but something like *** fai somebody tell me!! ).

I think this is also only northern Thailand? but feel like I am in china but Japan also have this kind. Asia culture is really similar.

After that it started rain so we enjoyed short loy Kratong?..

Next day we went to golden triangle. But it was nothing? but border of Thai, Laos and Myanmar. At Myanmar side there is a casino so if you want you can enjoy it but I am not sure it is good or not. Entrance fee was Thai 50B Myanmar 10B other.. I am not sure?.sorry? I did not bring my passport so I could not go there. Actually I don?t want to pay re-entry visa fee (1000B).

Even if I don?t have passport I can go to Laos?s side. We took speed boat to river ride. It costs 400B per boat. At Laos, we can buy souvenirs but for me? looks almost as same as thai and price is almost same I just bought some laos character?s T shirts. If you want you can buy alcohol with snake or scorpion. I think it was 250B but I don?t want to buy? I am not sure this snake but I ate scorpion inside can in Thailand. I was so better and mai aroi loei. Just for display for me. But I know in Japan also has this kind alcohol.

After that we stopped by Mea Sai this was the boarder of Thai and Laos. Also it is the northern most point of Thailand (I like this kind of stuff). This town has a lot of stuff for me of course in Bkk you can buy a lot of stuff but I was exciting about that. Also price is low as well.

At nigh, when we ate mu-kata, waitress said tonight also has festival in Rachabat University Chaing Rai. In northern area, they celebrate loy kratong for 2 days.
