space,

i watched two movies lastnite...

Buffalo 66 and Song from teh Second Floor

Baffalo 66 was played and directed by Vincent Gallo.

it's an Indy film...

Christica Ricci was also a leading actress...

not much of classical Hollywood style but rather indy...awesome!

you guys should find some time to see this movie

also, Song from teh Second Floor, Cannes Award winner movie from Sweden...

it's TERRIFIC!!!!!

but u might need to know a bit about swedish and world economy and history.

a good exampld of semeotics and symbolic on film stripes.

every shot is well composed. every scene was beautifully shot.

it's very poetic...more like a poem than a movie...

every single bit has meaning...

it's TERRIFIC!

try!

I have been meaning to watch Buffalo66 for a long time...I think i should make an effort ot watch it...I have watched lots of the film just been released...I did manage to watch Capturing the Friedmans on the last day of the film festival...

Quite a disturbing film about father and son prisoned for sex crimes against children...It originally started out as a documentary on childrens entertainers but the childrens clown that was being featured, David Freidman had this sex abuse scandal hanging over his family and the director Andrew Jarecki found out about it and changed his documentary instead...

Very well done as it shows the whole story and doesnt jsut take a standpoint of these people are evil and should be dealt with...some chilling moments captured on screen!

yep...i can do that for you, Charlie..but u gotta gimme some time.

roughly it talks about class, ecomonic, sacrifice, depression, religion, politics, social disfunctional and how tough to be a human.

it's a fantassssssssssssssssstic movie...

most of the shots are visually presented in shapr perspectives, im not quite sure why they do it that way, i guess it's bcoz they want to reinforce the senses of 'world view' or 'reality' by making it slightly surrealistic...it's somewhat like 'expressionism' but not that sharp.

most of the time...the backdrop of the perspective scenes are open areas, i guess that suggests hope.
