The 2011 National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest submission period runs from April 5 to July 11. But don't dilly-dally! More than 3,700 photographers entered nearly 11,000 images in last year's competition. The pictures captured an assortment of the places, wildlife, and people that make traveling memorable, evoking a sense of delight or discovery—or both. For the 23rd year, we are inviting readers to share their photos of the world around them. Submit digital entries online in any of these four categories: Travel Portraits: Locals working, playing, celebrating Outdoor Scenes: Landscapes, aerials, wildlife, waterscapes Sense of Place: Pictures that evoke the essence of a place Spontaneous Moments: Fun, quirky, surprising, and unrehearsed moments Winning images will be showcased in the November/December 2011 issue of National Geographic Traveler magazine. Aaaaand....do you also have the link where to put the entries? The thing itself looks seems to be very interesting, thanks for sharing!
