Pompoy
Thanks for answers Liebe. Besides these words that you mentions I know it is a word which, for an european like me, sounds like POMPOY. What does this word mean. I know it means fat or something like that. This word "pompoy" is what I`d like to see written in Thai language. Tx

Niranahm
I think you mean »ØéûØé Which means chubby, fat. In English letters it's often given as "pumpui", or "poompuy" or something like that. It's quite hard for farang to pronounce this word accurately since it has two falling tones and uses consonant sounds that don't have an an English equivalent. I need it in Thai capitals There is no such thing as Thai capital letters! Thai script is all one case... If you're going to do something drastic like tatoo it across your fat belly, you're best off seeking the word in a Thai display font -- a special font that is used for headings and the like... Niranahm
I have never heard ¨éÓÃèÓ (jammam) applied to overweight farang guys but »ØéûØé (pumpui) is often a nickname given to them. Why, I wonder? I suppose I assoicate jammam usage with babies even more than pumpui....
