Stu_thailand
Well, since my journal post last night requestion some DVD's, it seems quite a few people are after some also. Made me think...how about a DVD sharing club among TF members? Let's see through here if there is enough interest, and if so, we could do something about it maybe. Cheers. zeusbheld
don't know if we even need to go so far as starting a club, perhaps ppl can just post on this thread what they're interested in, and maybe someone who has it can PM them? so while we're at it, anyone have 'Boston Legal" season 3? birdtongchai
I am collecting movies and TVShows.... At the moment i have numerous TVShows and Movies ofcourse on my homeserver... It containts over 1.5Tbyte of data at the moment (1500 Gbyte for n00bs) Maybe we can share TVShows too or create a central location where all TF'ers can go to get their missing TVShows and/or movies? Free of charge ofcourse.... Just keep the community alive by giving your collection to me, i will place it on the server and keep it available for anyone else who is interrested.... That way, you not have to contact all different members but can just look in the "server" if it is available... The list could be made available online somewhere.... Simmo_V2.0
There is already some farang expat file sharing club thing going already. Look up some old posts on thaivisa.com for details. They use Direct Connect as the sharing program.
birdtongchai
not talking about online sharing. I want to share PHYSICAL... so borrowing, lending dvd's. If a copy is made on a server someone has (Hey.. i do! ) everyone can borrow whatever he/she wants.. Online sharing takes too long... If someone wants to see a movie tonight, or a few, it takes too long to download them over the internet.... Just visiting the server and borrow a couple of dvd's is much more convenient ;-)
sabai_jay
good idea stu. actually, if enough people turned up at a certain time and place with their laptop and lotsa blank dvd's, then in theory no one would even have to part with their cd's, the whole thing could be undertaken while having a few beverages. birdtongchai
I suggest a meet then Can someone create an event to meet up? We can meet up at my place if everyone agrees... The place is big enough for sure, and my server is up and running at home... I just moved to a new place, so consider it a housewarmer too People who have a fair collection of DVD's with movies or TVShows are invited. Please bring your laptop and a LAN cable so we can end up the meeting with some bloodshedding LAN Game perhaps... We can discuss the format that we're going to share (DVD's or convert to AVI) and how to exchange... just an idea...... what do you think?
Miyavi
there is a shop in MBK, they have a huge selection on indi movies and whatever else, they also deliver the dvds to your home. Forgot the name of the shop, its not one of those tables in the 6th floors... They have many movie catalogs
