AAAum
kind of reminding myself ..how to do it..... i cant do it either... I created an excel sheet since last May 07. The summary of my incomes minus social security insurance, tax since the first day I've started working (2 1/2 years ago). So that I can have a quick look on YTD income before deductions, YTD income after deductions, YTD salary, YTD added benefits, YTD tax, YTD social security fund. I have another excel sheet to record my expenses on daily basis so I can compare and observe the expenditure and saving trends. I normally set aside some money for savings and try not to touch that amount of money except when I had to buy a laptop, new mobile phone, digital camera, pocket money for my family on New Year etc. I think I've established a good system for myself. Good job, jlanne.... To do the number and YTD format in excel sheet.... reminds for doing brand market share and volume & value number long long time ago.... I never do any expenses list on daily or monthly basis... i used to think about it...but not begin yet.... I seperate saving amount each month and use for the rest. When i want to travel or to buy new laptop, mobile phone etc... i would use bonus or interest.... I mostly use credit card to get bonus point and maintain the cash flow... someone said it's hard to manage, but i think it's not too hard if i use brain along.... thaibel
Frugality (also known as thrift or thriftiness ) is the practice of acquiring goods and services at minimum cost, achieved via economical restraints or creative measures. Frugality can be related to the idea of being conservative or conserving money.Common strategies of frugality include the reduction of waste, curbing costly habits, suppressing instant gratification by means of fiscal self-restraint, seeking efficiency, avoiding traps, defying expensive social norms, embracing free (as in gratis) options, using barter, and staying well-informed about local circumstances and both market and product/service realities. Does anyone have an outstanding idea for frugality??? I didn't know the meaning of the word 'Frugality', I looked it up in a dictionary. In Dutch it's 'karigheid'. But in Dutch it isn't necessarily related to money all the time. You can de frugal with words as well, like someone who says little in a conversation. You can be fegal in driving your car and rather walk to a shop. Also in Dutch 'karig' hasn't a pejorative meaning.
