I have to be careful about "quote" what ppl said... after reading this news.

I got SMS yesterday evening and I was so surprised that Sondhi got arrest warrant and the case was about lese majesty.... I'm not the one who agree with what Sondhi said all.. just agree with him at some points, but I can say this guy didn't has that thought. As my knowledge, he's trying to protect and asked thai ppl to do the same.

I came home and asked my dad, what was going on. He said Sondhi just talk about Da Torpedo speech, I know what she said but I can't post it here... just some part of it and then he got this treat.

History of Da Torpedo, (we know as one of Thaksin supporter, and claim that she was a journalist) last or couple years ago... i'm not sure... She did hi park at Sanam Luang, talked about bad things about the royal family, PAD. etc. and then a vendor there couldn't stand what Da's speech... She "SHITED" and then took her **** walked up to the stage.... put her **** in Da Torpedo's mouth and face. yes that vendor got arrested... but many people donate money and visited her at jail.

Da Torpedo spends first night in cells where she is given medication for pain, depression

The Criminal Court yesterday approved an arrest warrant against People's Alliance for Democracy co-leader Sondhi Limthongkul for relaying remarks by Daranee Choengchansilapakul ('Da Torpedo') deemed offensive to the monarchy.

Sondhi put off surrendering to police from yesterday to 9am today to avoid facing reporters.

The court approved the arrest warrant at the request of police.

Police alleged Sondhi had repeated the lese-majeste statement at the rally of the PAD Sunday night.

"Sondhi and those involved in recirculating the offensive remarks at the PAD rally site and via media and Internet outlets will have to face legal proceedings," Metropolitan Police commissioner Lt-General Aswin Kwanmuang said yesterday.

On Monday, police arrested anti-PAD activist Da Torpedo and charged her with committing lese majeste in a rally speech at Sanam Luang on Friday.

Aswin said Sondhi and pro-PAD media outlets were equally guilty for repeating the remarks.

He said he expected to serve the arrest warrant for Sondhi this week.

Police will proceed directly to arrest those committing lese majeste in every case and without exception, he said, in rebutting Da Torpedo's argument that police had committed a double standard by picking on her but not the PAD leaders.

A Chulalongkorn University lecturer assisted Da Torpedo in filing a second bail application. Her first application was rejected and she had to spend a night in the remand prison for women.

Suthachai Yimprasert said he had used his academic position as bond for the temporary release. He said he is a close friend of the suspect. However, the court rejected the appeal.

On her first night in a cell, Da Torpedo was allowed to take pain and anti-depression medication. She suffered jaw ache before being arrested and appeared stressful.

She had not received any visitors. She was put in the same block as paralegal Supasri Srisawat, who is serving a six-month jail term for contempt relating to the Bt2-million "pastry-gate" case.

In the meantime, a lawyer of Newin Chidchob asked police to charge Sondhi with defamation. Newin, a close aide to former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, alleged Sondhi had accused him of backing Daranee to insult the monarchy.

Newin denies the allegation, his lawyer said.

Ok, that's the news from the nation... but I'm actually didn't know about QUOTE. When I QUOTE what ppl said, does it mean I agree with all of them?

And what if Sondhi did was wrong about "QUOTE" how about Original speech from Jakkraphob? I'm so confuse now.

Lol, I laughed at this so much. And now I am laughing at you because hopefully you are realising how idiot finally this whole lese majeste thing is...

Happy quoting honey!

To QUOTE someone (Thailand Crisis):

The first rule of the Fight-Lese-Majeste-Club is that you don?t talk about the Fight-Lese-Majeste-Club.

Many thai politicians do not understand one fundamental idea : the more they use and instrumentalize the lese-majeste law? the more they loose their credibility, and the more they weaken the ?high institution?.

Eventually, everybody will accuse everybody of lese-majeste. The peak of non-sense is not far away.

In Thailand a murderer can get a bail? but a woman charged of lese-majeste? no.

Pop corn anyone, this is entertaining!

ps. Sondhi is out on bail already, unlike Daranee Charnchoengsilpakul...

I am laughing at the events surrounding the new round of lese majeste slappings. (Your quote of the story is good, a newsworthy event definetly, thanks for quoting it!)

And at you because I am laughing happy laughter because you have showed so much faith in the system regarless of what has been tried to point out to you, and now finally something happens that makes you say, to quote, " I'm so confuse now."

And hopefully through laughter of sad events that show the idiocy over and over again about this law, you can start to get your head around the fact how things just don't work they way they are "working" now in Thai politics regarding this precise issue.

So hopefully my laughter doesnt put you off from starting to clear out your confusion. So I do apologize the laughter, I was just so happy that you finally said "you are confused". I dont want you to stumble back to your defences because of the happy joyful laughter at you when you are realising things are not the way you thought they are about this issue.

The law is that if you publicly repeat what was said that was an offense, you are also guilty of the offense. It doesn't matter if you were ridiculing or disagreeing with what was originally said. If you repeat it, you are liable under the law.

I'm sure Sondhi knew that before he made his remarks.

Sidenote: Claimed offence, I would like to add...Claimed. "Innocent untill proven guilty" and so worth I presume, PRESUME, should rule in Thailand too, right.

It is odd, what is Sondhi's agenda here. He himself has been famed for accusing others from the same offence and this time he connected himself to someone who is not even at the same side as him in away and gets accused of the same crime as the one he quoted!

And what is appalling the way military in Thailand considers itself as the high Police and takes parts in political policing on and on...Cant they keep their dirty hands to themselves and keep its role as armies are supposed to keep: protecting country from outside enemies and "police" internal terrorists and act as extra hand in cases of national environmental disasters etc...
