If you did not read my journal yesterday, you will need to do so before the following makes any sense.http://www.thailandfriends.com/index.php?name=Journal&view=journal&juid=28069&jid=55545If I had have thought of a number of how bad yesterday would go with 0 being ok, and - 1,000,000,000 being the worst, and had have multipled that worst number by pye, I wouldn't have been even close. Here's what happened. (I'll keep things as brief as possible)First, a bit of history. When Robin was
The next two hours are going to be hell. Sitting here, powerless, unable to do anything. Most of you are aware of the bloody saga I have had over the years, especially the last few months regarding my Son, Robin, in Manila, and all the headaches his Mum has given me.Today is make or break.During my last visit in February, I found out through, erm, unconventional means, that she is still the liar and game player that she always was. I therefore hired a lawyer to handle things for me.Today, She wil
I always hear Thai's saying it is their dream to go to the UK. Before you think anymore about this, first, consider why so many people come FROM the UK to live IN Thailand, and then read the following story. There are cases like this each and every day now. The UK has become a police state. Other recent stories include a young couple being fined 9,000 baht after a Government official took a photo of their bin outside their home and they had overfilled it by 4 INCHES. A Single Mum was recently fi
A lot of you have met Mum, but only a few of you are aware that 5 years ago she was diagnosed with cancer. Luckily, it was caught in the early stages, and after a small operation and some treatment, they got rid of it.Of course since then she has been having regular tests. Today was a milestone. 5 years is the time doctors normally keep a closer eye on things than usual, and once 5 years is up, then you can pretty much say the cancer has gone away. Well, today, Mum had that 5 year Mammogram, and

Here are a few clips from various comedies that I've put together.First, there is a clip taken from the very end of the 1998 movie, Coming to America, starring Eddie Murphy. He plays the part of various people in the film.Next, we have a couple of clips from one of my favourite's, Grumpy old Men, in which Walter Matthau and Jack lemmon star as two bickering neighbours, always trying to get one up on each other. The Full Monty; 'nuff said!!Following on, a piece from the brilliant TV show, Frasier
BBC's Radio 4 is known for its lack of humour and seriousness.Yesterday, respected journalist, Charlotte Green read out a series of news items, and got the giggles. The first article was regarding the first knwon recording of a human voice back in 1860 (Afook's YOB), which featured a Woman singing Clair de Lune, followed by the obituary of Oscar winning Screen writer, Abby Mann. It's said that during the first broadcast, one of her fellow presenters commented that it sounded like a bee trapped in
It's a long way, isn't it?
On wednesday evening, we traveled through the night by bus, arriving at Joy's parents house at 7am thursday morning.
Before I continue...about the bus. I can sleep on planes, but NOT on the bus, so I took a lot of books to pass the time. We left the bus terminal, all of the interior lights are on inside the bus, and after 20 minutes a Thai dubbed version of the Mr Bean movie comes on at full volume. It was so loud I couldn't concentrate on my book, so I suffered the
Yesterday evening, I went to the office pub as I had something to discuss with Bob, the owner. When I arrived, Bob was talking with another Man at the bar. His name is Barry.I have never met Barry before, but he's a nice chap. He was drinking heavily, and before long was very drunk. He started to look very sad, and suddenly got up and left without saying a word to anyone. Not even a goodnight.I asked Bob about this Guy; Barry is from the UK, and has lived in Thailand for 30 years on and off. He ha
Sadly, I have to postpone my birthday party by one week.Yesterday was Joy's birthday, and after a loooonnng night, we woke this morning to hear news that yesterday, her Grandfather passed away. We will go south tomorrow for the funeral and won't be back until Sunday.I have therefore re-posted the party for Saturday 29th.Our apologies if this buggers up anyone's plans. Also, Kitty won't be able to make it as she is very busy / tired looking after Junior little at the moment.Anyway, I hope to see y
Taken from the UK's Daily Mail - the paper that obviously doesn't know the difference from old news, and new news.
"The Thai government was today investigating claims that Buddhist monks have broken their celibacy vows by flirting with women online.
The supposedly ultra-faithful men are strictly forbidden from engaging in any sexual behaviour, which in practice means any contact with women.
So allegations that some of the followers have been flouting this rule and ?chatting up? women on soc
Well, my, sorry, our trip has ended.
Today i said goodbye to my little Guy.
I'm going to miss him wriggling around, punching me in my face, kicking me in the balls whilst he sleeps.
I'm going to miss his tantrums.
This time it was more hard to say goobye as his Mum has gone back to her old games.
Everything is clear to me now; my Son is nothing more than a commodity to her.
I have found out the she is intending to go back to the UK to work as soon as she has enough money, and when she does
Hi all:)
Well, the trip to Manila to see my Son has not been the smoothest journey so far.
First, the hotel I had booked turned out to be a total disaster. Dirty, terrible service, food inedible etc. Nothing like the website AT ALL.
Luckily the travel agent was helpful, re-located us to a lovely place albeit a bit more expensive, and got us a refund from the first place which will almost cover the extra expense for the second place.
After that, just as things were beginning to improve, both
Well, after several weeks of counting down the days, the time has finally come.Tomorrow, at 1pm, I'll be taking off, heading back to Manila for 3 weeks to see my Son, and I can't wait:)I am taking Joy with me this time, and whilst she won't admit it, I think she is a little nervous. First time out of Thailand, meeting my ex, meeting my Son etc. I think anyone wold be nervous, I know I would be.Whilst I am taking my laptop with me, I am not going to be online much this time, I am going to try and

I have an extensive collection to reciprocate with, and sorry for the small text, but for some reason, the HTML editor isn't showing up at the moment.
Thanks
The long awaited party, a celebration of both Rene's arrival in Thailand, and his Birthday happened last night. Unfortunatley, Papa was taken ill, and couldn't make it.Fred, I know how much you have been looking forward to meeting Rene, and as a valued and dear friend, I hope you get well, and are back on form soon:) I just want to say what a pleasure it was to finally meet Rene last night. He is as nice in person as he is in PM's. It was a long night, and we finished off at our home, so Rene, m
Tomorrow morning, Mum, Joy, Phong, Papa, Ghee and myself are headed to Hua Hin for the new year. I'd just like to wish all my friend on here an early happy new year as I am NOT going to go online AT ALL until I get back!!May you all have a great 2008. I'd also like to thank most of you for your support through the hard times back in July. Let's hope 2008 will be a happier time for TF. Let's also remember to have a drink and a moment for Mike, Randy, and Lat, and all other absent friends.Take car
Christmas greetings, with the help of one of Australia's most talented artists. (Not there's that much competition LOL) Oh, and another thing - there is a bit of, erm, choice language, so click at your discretion!!
