Dave Allen

I met a lovely Lady early this month, from Australia. (Whilst She has some very suspect, and dubious friends, she is actually quite OK)  We were talking about a very well liked and loved Comedian from Ireland, 'Dave Allen'. He sadly passed away a few years ago, but his humour still lives on. This lady was lucky enough to have counted Mr Allen as one of her close friends, and she told me some great stories about him. This inspired me to look up some clips of him on youtube, and here is one I f

Trigger Happy TV

A Kiwi and an Ozzie

A Kiwi walks into the local unemployment office, marches straight up to the counter and says, "Hi! I hate being on welfare, I'd really rather have a job." The clerk behind the Centrelink desk says, "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he'll supply all of your clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll be expected

My Son

Well, the saga continues...I had a big shock when I arrived home this evening - an email from the Mother of My Son whom I have had no contact with since talks and whatever else broke down a year ago.Nice email, basically saying that we should build bridges and think of Robin (My Son) instead of ourselves. If I had 1 baht for every time I tried to tell her that already, I would have nothing more to worry about.Putting together the fact that I have had no contact for a year, AND then suddenly, an

Help

I have recently had my stereo ststem shipped over from the UK. It came with all my Mums things. To my D I S M A Y (putting it politely), I have found that all the bloody wires are missing. When I purchased it around 7 years ago, it was about the best one could get on the high street, and is therefore quite specialised. Some of the cables are midi, some control cables etc. Does anyone know a good shop in Bkk that may be able to help me put my beloved stereo back together again? Thanks for any helpB

Historical blunders

The luxurious ocean liner Titanic was deemed 'unsinkable' by its makers at Harland and Wolff - the shipyard in Belfast where she was built in 1912. In fact, the 'unsinkable' ship took less than three hours to slip to the bottom of the ocean after scraping an iceberg on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic. Saddam thought he would get away with it.Hitler thought he could take over the entire world.Clinton thought Monika wouldn't say anythingEtc etc etc. As we all know, throughout history, people

The great race - Postponed

HI allsorry to inform you, I am gonna pull the plug on the great race tonight.I was hoping to have far more sign ups - we can hardly have a GREAT RACE with 7 people, one of whom cannot make it, which leaves only 6!I partly blame myself for this, I hve been busy with things reently, and have not had time to promote and organise it as I would have liked.Hopefully, things will calm down a little for me now, and I will have time to do a better job sometime next month.Have a good weekendStuart.

Incredible story

SYDNEY (Reuters) - An Australian abalone diver told rescuers he was partly swallowed head-first by a Great White Shark on Tuesday but managed to fight his way free, suffering a broken nose and bite marks around the chest. Diver Eric Nerhus, 41, was underwater with his 25-year-old son and other divers off Cape Howe, near Eden on Australia's southeast coast, when the 3 metre (10 foot) shark attacked. Rescuers earlier mistakenly reported his age as 25. "He stated that he was ADVERTISEMENT head-

ANOTHER do gooder

I read with no surprise whatsoever, that the UK's finance minister, has said how terrible the hanging of Saddam was. I quote: "Now that we know the full picture of what happened, we can sum this up as a deplorable set of events."He went on..."Even those people, unlike me, who are in favour of capital punishment found this completely unacceptable"So, now we need to make a hanging more nice for the evil bastards who commit the atrocities. What shall we do...put some sheeps fleece around the noose
