Red light shining on your bedroom wall,
Lonely men coming through your bedroom door.
You close your eyes and act out your part...
Loneliness comes in many shapes and forms.
Giving love to whoever comes along,
Loving them for what they can afford.
You give of your body
But no one touches your heart.
O, sweet lady of the night.
You who helped so many lonley get through this night.
But as the night ends
And you switch of your light.
I wonder how many would know
That this is when your l
I saw you as I drove by.
I stopped to ask you?
If you had really lived.
Had you loved all that you could?
Had you faced the challenges of life head on
Without flinching, or surrendering an inch.
But I drove off with tears in my eyes,
For your body language said more than words ever could.
Your eyes were haunted by fear.
You had surrendered your dreams to survive.
And in doing so had died.
But this death is of the worst kind
For it?s being dead, whilst still being alive.
They walk along the beach,
A man and his young son.
I wonder what their future holds.
Will their ambitions drive them apart?
Or will they remain as friends.
Maybe they will walk upon this very beach,
As Father, Son and Grandson.
Or will the stupidness of another man's war
Mean that this man has to bury his son.
But this is all in the future.
Some times its best not think off
But to just pray that there will be one.
So I just sit and admire the beauty
Of a Man humbled,
By the love
They lie side by side
Christian next to Jew
Politician next to Priest
They lived for such a short time
And fought for their separate beliefs
Terrorism, persecution and Insurrection
Where their tools of trade
But they all shared the same fate
The irony of life is that
So often those who are bitter enemies in life
Lie side by side in death.
Sharing for eternity
The peace they fought for
Whilst alive on Earth.
Taken from desperate and datless in a laundromat
There so much heart ache and tragedy
In the world at moment.
But when I look into your face
And see the happiness and kindness that is there
I realise there is still a little magic left in the world
And that magic is you.
Taken from Desperate and datless in a laundromat
There is sadness
When you look into the eyes
Of some one who is grieving.
For you can often feel their pain and loss
There is sadness
When you look into the eyes
Of the hungry.
For you can often feel their dispair.
But the saddest look of all.
Is when you look into the eyes of a lover?
And find nothing there.....
Taken from "thoughts from the laundromat "
Don?t put yourself down
Or say bad things about yourself..
Leave it to other people.
They will always do a far better job.
taken from "Thoughts in a Laundromat"
Mothers from all around the world
Said good bye to their children
Some where going on holidays
Some where simply going to work.
But because some one had a diffrent point of view
Because some one had a diffrent belief
A coward with a bomb
Now means these Mothers are united
In a bond of grief
Dedicated to the people of Bali
Thought from "desperate and Dateless in a Laundromat"
If love was a sunset
It would only be so
For I was sitting watching it with you
If love was the deep blue sea
It would only be so
For I feel myself drowning
When ever I look into your eyes
If love was a sound
It would be the sound that you make
As I lie beside you
And watch you sleep
If love was a song
It would have no words
For no words can ever express love
But if any one ever did ask me
To explain to them
What is love...
I would turn and tell them
Your name
