Well, being an ambassador for my country and the Western World is certainly a full time job. It seems I have a great deal of ground to make up. It seems the tradition of becoming miraculously drunk, acting like a wally and engaging in other mindless activities that can only be described as shenanigans or tom-foolery is being kept well and truely alive here in Thailand by lots of Westerners, especially in the vicinity of Thanon Khao San. Anyway, my main reason for writing this journal is to thank
With thoughts of a new year and resolutions looming; I like to carry these words in to a New Year.
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today, well-lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day. Wishing all of my friends a healthy, happy and prosperous 2007/2550 Kitschiguy ~
Just in case any Thai peoiple were wondering what to do with a Christmas turkey - well, it goes something like this ..
Buy the biggest bird you can find - will usually be the same size as a small car.
Kill it, pluck it, cut it's head off, tie it's feet up, cut it open, yank out it's insides, stuff it, stick an onion up it's bum and put it in a very hot place for 5 hrs until it's completely burnt. Throw it at the dinner table and let your family fight over it
Then eat it in sandwhiches for
Christmas story (true)
Last year Father Christmas crashed his sleigh in a field near my house. It was a very dark, foggy night but I heard the comotion and the argument that promptly ensued between him and his favourite reindeer, Rudolph. ( Also the bloody sleigh bells are almost deafening as they approach your house, so how everyone else seems to miss him every year is beyond my somewhat limited comprehension ) Personally though, I think Santa had already started on the sauce! And there look
For all you snoggers out there - Origins of the Christmas Kiss
Kissing under the mistletoe :
Kissing under the mistletoe is first found associated with the Greek festival of Saturnalia and later with primitive marriage rites. They probably originated from two beliefs. One belief was that it has power to bestow fertility. It was also believed that the dung from which the mistletoe would also possess "life-giving" power. In Scandinavia, mistletoe was considered a plant of peace, under which ene

If you can't get BBC - ope this will help. If so, let us know and we can keep our eyes peeled A faction of the Thai military led by the army chief says it has overthrown Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Soldiers have entered the prime minister's offices in Government House and tanks have surrounded the building. Mr Thaksin, who is at the UN in New York, has declared a state of emergency and said he had removed the army chief. A government spokesman insisted the coup "could not succeed", a
I like to remind myself of this story when I find things are not quite going my way. I think one can apply this to anything.
If you feel you have already lost and resign yourself to defeat you can 'try softer'. You may find that now you are free from the competitive burden of trying to win, you may perform better than you ever have.

Inspired by D600girls journal entry - Friends on TF After reading the aforementioned journal entry by D600girl I was wondering if anybody would like to comment on what they consider a true friend to be. All of the comments made were chin strokingly intermeresting, especially CMG_UK's philosophical approach. How does one gauge their feelings for another person in order to decide the state of the relationship? When does someone become a friend? I just dunno! I'm fairly new to online friendships
self / not self ........... still struggling with the concept ?

HAPPINESS ................ UNHAPPINESS
WHEN A PERSON CEASES TO BE HAPPY,
DOES THIS MEAN THEY WILL BE IN A STATE OF UNHAPPINESS ?
Apply this to the self / not self question and you will see the middle path
I would just like to express my sheer delight at Portsmouth FC currently residing at the top of The Premiership after their 3 - 0 win over Blackburn yesterday. Any Pompey fans out there - enjoy it while you can! Pompey play up!
My friend and I were discussing what we would give to the world if we could. Not including the obvious - world peace, an end to poverty/disease etc.
It was quite interesting because we had to really think about it. What could we give that could be of some use to mankind if we already had world peace, no poverty, no disease. Among other things we came up with :
A puppy that never grows up.
Chocolate that doesn't make you fat.
Chewing gum that never looses it's flavour.
Beds made entirely fro
- Inspired by recent online interactions..
Who ever reads this poem could be,
A possible online friend with me.
If you think you know, of what I speak,
then message me, and each other we?ll greet.
And if you detect, good vibes within,
Then tell me quick, even on a whim.
If you think you can, identify,
The love inside, The Kitschiguy;
Then let me see or let me know,
The love you have, and want to show
For some, the love of The Kitschiguy,
Would be better left, or else passed by,

Reading some recent journal entries reminded me of my Martial Arts training.
Before i started to study martial arts, I was easily intimidated. False images of strength - aggresive brow beaters and musclemen could cause me to become flushed, tense and agitated. I was often frustrated by dogmatist and cynics and made to feel inadequate by arrogant intellectuals, persistent salesmen or self rightous zealots.
I learned a lesson on self control and if i may i would like to share it. Imagine a circ
