ok he may not american cuz he's japanese but he's help ppls many times

doraemon represent the failure of Nobita's period (which is our period).

two reasons...

1. because holly(dead)wood is boring and unimaginative. it is a back-stabbing world where copycats thrive. once a film (formula) does well at the box office, that same idea (this time comic book superheros...a few summers ago it was natural disasters...remember all the tornado, hurricane, flood, fire, asteroids hitting the earth movies) is rehashed until it is driven right into the ground.

2. the people who were kids reading the comic books containing these superheros are now the adult ticket-buying, money-spending, consumer public.

to assume that there is any sort of thougth process or reason behind a string of similar movies is to give hoolywood too much credit.
