Hi

My next trip to Thailand is now taking shape.

Already got Udon and Khon Kaen arranged.

I also want to see Koh Nang Yuan, Near Samui. But have been told september is not a good time.

Just how bad is it?

Should i still go or would it be a complete waste of time?

Ive been to Koh Samui in early Oct and the weather wasnt bad at all.......a little bit of rain here and there but definately not a wash out.............I assume Sept would be much the same but Im not an expert on the subject ........so if I was you, Id go!!

Thats just my personal opinion and it wont stand up in a court of law :P

I went to Nang Yuan in July a couple of years ago - just storms at night somethimes, but this year the weather is strange. Not normal. It's lovely there though....

I've spent time on Samui in September and the weather is usually OK at best. I did some snorkelling in Ko Tao and we were lucky to get 20 minutes of that kind of clear sun that lights up the colours. For me, the best place for all-year-round weather is Koh Samed. I'd leave Samui and the south until the spring.
