Elephant Parade in Rotterdam There has been an Elephant Parade in Rotterdam. It all started 1st of September when 44 art elephants were placed in the city of Rotterdam. They could be seen on the streets until the auction on November 17 in the Rotterdam Zoo.The auction has raised 248500 euro which will be donated to 'Friends of the Asian Elephant Foundation' in Thailand and a project of the Rotterdam Zoo in India.Friends of the Asian Elephant will use the money for their 'elephant hospital' in Lampang. Elephant Parade is an initiative of Marc and Mike Spits (father and son). After meeting Soraida Salwala who started the hospital, Marc had the idea of making art elephants as sculptures and sell them for funding the elephant hospital which has already saved 2.700 elephants!

>Noi, no this is not my hometown.... Rotterdam has a bit over one million citizens, Amsterdam where I live has 800000, they are quite small towns compared to other metropolis... The centres are crowded, but the areas where people live can be really peaceful and quite.. it's not like Bangkok! lol
