In theory, as Casper100, pointed out. They should have comfortably qualified for the Euro 2008 championship too and look what happend. Although I'd like to agree that its unlikely for the FA to find anyone worse than McLaren, that doesn't mean they won't try.

I just seen Luther Blisset on Sky News claiming that it could have been a tougher draw for England, which I actually agree with despite lots of travels to the former Soviet states........... good old Luther says "at least we know we are capable of beating Croatia"

Its actually a tough group for Scotland but at least we get the chance to avenge that 6-0 tharashing you lot gave us a few years ago... er..... please dont ever do that again!!!

Im a member of the Scotland Supporters Club and was hoping to get a few games on this side of Europe and a bit closer to me in Saudi Arabia, I dont think I couldve got games that are much further away from me!! I think Holland and Norway should be easy enough for me to get to but I havent got a clue how to get to Macedonia..........yet!! hehehe

i hope england will get out of the dilemma.... playing without england at euro or world cup is not the same.... we hit a good group (germany) .. we have to play against russia, finland, wales, azerbaijan and liechtenstein.... that should be possible loool

Casper100>I think that England will have a good chance against Cratia next time.. They are warned now. The Dutch also lost sometimes against Croatia in the past. The real problem is that there are difficult other teams in that group as well: Ukraine and Belarus..

Hobbes> The Dutch boys are in a group with Scotland, Macedonia, Norway and Iceland. Scotland can be difficult and we recently lost twice against Macedonia! The other thing is that we are in a small group of 5 countries instead of 6. So once the team loses a game, it will be harder to make it up..
