A texas man is being sought for the possibility of an muslim "honor" killing for his 2 daughter's dating practices.The same thing happened in Canada with one daughter being killed. It has happened in Europe. and Now in England a report shows over ... wait let me say that again... OVER 66,000 women have been force to undergo female genital mutilation. The investigation was done by volunteers from the Department of Health and carried out with academics from the London School of Tropical Hygiene and the City University and reported by the daily mail. This sometimes happens in asia as well because the practice is done to make sex unenjoyable for women so they will only engage in it for their husbands pleasure or to have children.  Many people in the west want to be Islamo-fascist apologists but do nothing but bash the catholic church for it's miss deed of the past, strict souther religions which say women shouldn't cut their hair and men shouldn't have long hair (even though jesus did but that's another posting all by it's self) but none even piligamists sect's say it's ok to beat your wife and in the western countries it's illegal. However in the middle east, parts of africa, asia, and now the west as well these things are being practiced. This in part because of the so called religion of peace's (still followed strictly by so many) in their bible the  Qur'an 4:34, the Muslim holy book's notorious verse commanding the beating of disobedient women, at face value. This includes the arresting, trial, and punishment of a gang rape victim. Some people criticize me for speaking against Islam but they never say the same thing when someone speaks against Christianty, Judism, or even Buddhism. If you don't raise your voice against extremeism and those who practice it, live it, preach it, and spread it, they will eventually raise against you.

Another rant about the Islam. If I'm right there are about 2 mill. Islamic people in England, that number of 66.000 being genital mutilated is till okay. Not all genital mutilation go as far as removing everything. Btw the Jewish men get also circumcision at a young age. Of course you can say it's not the same, but it's also done without they agree. I work with 6 people who are Muslim in my office. They are very nice people and good colleagues. They even attend to parties and launches when it's Ramadam without eating or drinking, but just to socialise with the others. So, don't judge something if you don't have the complete picture.

They do not kill you if you try to convert or have converted.

The people who speak now against this are the same ones who said "hey I don't these yellow stars are a good idea", the same people who said "just let japan have a little part of china and they will stop", etc, etc, etc... to many people only see the isalmofascist as just their religion and follow our beliefs of religious tolerance but their religion is their polictics and their government. So if a friend of your's is blown up on a bus, in a train, or just getting a pizza here in the US, Engliand, Thailand, Philipines.... remember don't speak up like you would against the neo-nazis, IRA, or anyone else because you''re afraid or ignorant of to the facts. Since it seems so easy to trash the US and especially Christianity because we give you the right and respect your to do so not only in word but deed!

I've got no problem singling Islam out as the nastiest of major religions. There's no reason to believe that all "sacred" texts are equally peace-loving. Having read a good chunk of the Koran, I sometimes feel like the majority of Muslims are peace-loving in SPITE of that text.

However...FGC is primarily practiced in a band of countries in Africa. It predates Islam. To a small extent, FGC has been practiced by Christians and Jews. It's banned in any number of Muslim countries that are hardly known for liberal interpretations of Islam (e.g. Egypt). More power to you if you've gut the guts to thrash Islam where it needs thrashing, but I do believe you're wrong here. FGC is a cultural practice.

I am sure it is not limited to Muslims, and as I know a fair number of Muslims and have lived in the Middle East as well, I can say that the people who need bashing are NOT Muslims, they are FANATICS...of which there are groups subscribing to almost every religion.

At present, and because of the high profile activities of the Islamic fanatics in particular, Islam is being held up as a religion of hate. This is not true.

I am not very religious at all, but I guess I am a Buddhist if anything, but I still think it is wrong to criticise all people of a particular faith simply based on the acts of a minority...certainly they are a vocal minority, but still a minority.

If it is necessary to criticise a whole sect based on the acts of a few, then Christianity, Judaism and many others must step up and accept that they are far from perfect as well....look at th Crusades as an example.

All religions condemn murder and violence, but they all do it at one time or another...in the name of their "god"...which is basically just a cop-out so they can deny responsibility for their actions...the sad part is that so many of them really believe it...yes...Muslims, AND Christians, Jews and the like...

To the original point being genital mutilation...it is definitely not only limited to the Muslim community, so lets be very clear on that...and it is most certainly a criminal act that should be dealt with and it's perpetrators punished to the limit of the law!
