Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me with a translation of this idiom. I'm editing an article so I need an accurate translation. I understand what the idiom means but I'm having some trouble wording it. I came up with this. The article is about clay dolls.

When in someone else's house, don't be idle. Mould the clay so the children can play. (with dolls, I guess) It's weird.

simply mean that wherever you go, dont be lazy! Even you are a guest or u staying with other. Be useful, do what u can to show your manner. Just like when u go to have dinner at your friend's house, help them clean...

In Thai, it most likely mean when you have to stay over at someone house for long term, try to help them as much as u can. The elderly people would say this to the younger.

You were close but it just didnt mean about the kids but it said about the kids becoz its the easiest thing to do I guess. Anyone can make kid laugh right?
