I really like to eat khao moo deng. I am here with one of the best cooks of Mother Nature, and she told me her secrets about khao moo deng. I shall share it with you. I tell you: it's better than I ever tasted it! Hope you'll enjoy it too! And happy belated Valentine's day!

Moo deng

Marinade: [use Lobo – roast red pork seasoning mix 2x50g]

  • 5 roots of coriander grinded thoroughly with mortar and pestle;

  • ½ teaspoon white pepper;

  • ¾ teaspoon msg;
  • 1 sachet of 50 g seasoning mix;

  • 2 teaspoons of sesame oil (will make the meat tender);

  • ½ cup water;

  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup.

Prick many holes in the pork using a fork. Marinate the pork overnight.

Sauce : [use Lobo - roast red pork gravy mix]

  • seasoning mix for sauce;

  • marinade which you had the pork marinated in;

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce;

  • 2 tablespoons thin soy sauce;

  • pinch of msg;

  • bit of water;

  • 2 tablespoons of lightly roasted sesame seeds.

Bring to the boil just before serving.

Preheat oven to 245 degrees Celsius. Grill 30 minutes per 500g of pork. Put some rice on a plate with the thinly sliced grilled moo deng on top. Pour out some of the gravy on top of that and garnish with coriander and cucumber.
