Rwin... some great comments in my last journal and even got to beej to say something other some profanity laced diatribe..... hats off to you. You also made some points.

Sunsnow you also made some great comments and so did UK soldier (I'll try to start writing these in word and spell checking by the way lol).

As for the comments about the Irqai killed.... This is what happens in war and most of the Iraqi that have been killed who were not combatants have been killed by al-qaeda in Iraqi and so much so and in such horrific and just ungodly ways it got the rest of the groups to move away from them. As for supporting extrmeists in Afgahnistant during the Russian war.... we support a movement to help stop the spread of communism hoping they would choose a path of libetry and democracy, since most of the anti-war crowd didn't want us doing anything for them it had to be done calndestinely and once Russia was defeated the sames groups demanded no US involvement. They are also the same ones who want to blame the government for not knowing when terrorist are going to do something, but also don't want the government to do anything to stop it. You can't have it both ways.

Most importantly I was incredibly surprised by Beej finally making an effort to say something that was not just some profanity laced verbal explosion. lol

However Beej often neglects to see or ignores my comments about the pacticing Muslim friends I have and those who have converted to another religion and were forced to fleww their homeland or end up dead. I agree completely and have stated many times about how people who follow Islam for what they say it is a "religion of peace and acceptance" (which all major and most minor religions claim) are often forced to live in ways they do not wish out of fear from retaliation by other muslims. Recent reports of "honor killings" in all of the western countries show this. So, it's not about exporting of someones faith because that would hypoctrical for me to say or imply such a thing since I often mention about laws against teaching, practicing, and even wearing of symbols or icons from religions other then Islam. Plus how can I be a racist when Islam is faith not a race technically I would be biggot or prejudiced but since I have African black & white, black americans (I separate out specifically because I do not mean african-american just as I'm not Irish-american since at least the last few generations of my family were born in the USand is confusing when I do actually know "african-americans" from Ehtiopia, Somalia, and some others), Middle Easter, Indian, Russian, Hispanic & Asian (both of different countries) racist would not apply. Including the fact that Bosnia and Chechniya are white people and I've known some refugees from Bosnia as well. Which why the UN acted now and not when the Mulims groups tried to do the same thing is a separate discussion.

Also so there are always the comments about things from 100-200 or greater years ago that America (Britain and others as well get thrown in as well). No one disputes what was done and how wrong it is, so why not address something wrong while it's happening as with those such laws, or those Mosques and Imams who preach hatred. People like Beej love to join the bashing bandwagon whenever it's Catholic, Baptist, or some other Christian denomination/sect, who have done something wrong, but are afraid to do it when it comes to Islam. The claim "it's such a "small" group" yet the laws of quite a few countries, Egypt, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, nigeria, somalia, and others. My question then becomes how is this a small group? Granted I'm not talking about the straight out terrorists but having such an extreme faith based law which allows slavery, stoning of women to death for being raped premarital sex and up to death for converting from Islam is it no surprise so many turn to Jihad against countries they see as breaking their laws and laws they see should be applied everywhere?

Also some good points are made about if so many people want these laws why did they leave the countries with them and then try to force their new countries of residence to adopt. I also make question about the normal comments of where I get my "news" from. I wonder where do the people who make these statements get theirs from. Do they just get it from the polar opposite of the other Media outlets like fox vs. AL jezera, CNN. vs NPR, or what? Unless you were some place when something happened you have to go to some news source and if you are smart often check a few and know the truth is usually somewhere in the middle. Take the Mohammad drawings and protests plus subsequent violence. In some news it was reported the Muslim world stood up in voice to protests against the dreaded infidel and his insult of Islam and Mohammad other would say in response to Mohammad drawings violence and protests broke out all other with Christian Churches being burned and non-muslims attacked. The truth was Islam was insulted but Christianity is daily and those of the Christian faith are just suppose to take a blind to it? In response to simple cartoons showing how violence was being done in the of allah with yells of "allah ak'bar" including attack holy sites and holy men of other faiths.

So after this long journal Beej said what is my point in one sentence.....

Islam is being Hijacked by Islamofacists and idiotic, idealistic, and uninformed Ostrich type westerners are helping them to do it.

I have lived in Indonesia, Somalia, UAE, Dubai and Pakistan, the warmth of my reception there has been outstanding, no paul I did not live in a gated community and have never worked for the government so I experience first hand the culture its people and their religion.
