A great photo........ too bad a lot of Americans don't appreciate what this day means.

"The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.?

Are you aware that Gen. Douglas MacArthur had his troops fire on protesting unarmed US Army VETERANS in Washington D.C. in 1932?

What a freakin' hypocrite he was.

The flag is good, Doug MacArthur was a disaster of a general

He won in the Pacific despite himself - or rather the troops won, despite having him in command.

It IS a beautiful photo.

I wonder, PeterH61, seeing as you never miss any opportunity to rail against Bush (of whom I am no fan) and America, if, had you lived in a slightly earlier era, you would have been as vituperative about your own British leaders when they had their troops slaughter innocent Burmese, Indians, Malays, Jamaicans, Kenyans, Egyptians and others.

Or would you have been proudly waiving the Union Jack?

>>>>so what are you doing with your life? kissing some bosses ass???

went to public school too..coudnt afford to finish UNI (architecture) so from the age of 18 I started working 1, 2 and even 3 jobs at the same time.. (misspelling hundreds of words everyday but doesnt bother me)

what Im doing now its the same Iv been doing in the last 25 years, and with great satisfaction..

never kissed by the way.. and never will

nice, so now that we got to know about each other life..

does have something to do with calling inferior or ridicule other people and their culture?

but there must be something personal i guess...

ps the oxford thing was more related to the famous english humor than directly to education...

never mind...
