when the chinese immigrants arrived, all white australia was spooked. when the italians and greeks arrived, all white australia and the chinese were spooked. when the vietnamese arrived all white australia and the chinese and greeks and italians were spooked. when the lebanese and iraqis arrived blah blah blah. it is still going on and will sort itself out.

Well I am a true born and bred Australian...mind you, I am the only one in our family...my mum was born in Canada, my dad was born in Scotland and my brother in New Zealand!

Immigration can be good for a country, but it has to be handled properly or you end up with the same mess we have in the UK...the immigrants refuse to integrate into the British community, and then set about complaining that Britain is not like their home country...and the idiots in power pander to it and start to do things like suggesting that certain very British components of life in Britain are not appropriate as they may offend the immigrants...! They even do the same in Australia..!

My take is that if you immigrate, YOU have to change to suit the destination...NOT the other way around...
