I am hearing so much about the political problems in Thailand.

I am just wondering whether it is safe to fly into Suvarnabhumi Airport at the moment.

The last time I was there, there were lots of police and military men with guns.

They are there to keep the demonstrators off of the runway so they don't shut the airports like they did last weekend.

The only unsafe thing is splattering some PAD demonstrators with your Airbus.

well i just hear the military wont attack the demonstrators so i dont know...

I don't think we have yet to come to that stage, so my answer to that is it's safe. Those armed soliders and policemen are just there to make sure things are fine.

I am away from home and need to keep my eyes and ears open. I am flying to Suvarnabhumi airport from Heathrow arriving Friday morning. Hope that the airport won't shut as they warn everyone about flying to Thailand here.

I just landed 1 hour ago. So far I have not seen anything different from any other visit to BKK. That is at the airport and a taxi ride to Sukhumvit area. All seems normal here....

not that bad ..just come and take a look ;-)

I really wish they don't close Suvannaphum Airport, otherwise my husband cannot come to see me Where is the peace in Thailand??
