Yeah. the Man in Black.

Thanks for this link. Reminds me to pull out some JC and put himj in the mix on my Ipod. This tune is great and what a spectacular statement about the human condition: everything I know, goes away in the end.

It is this human condition that we all experience and yet we can love and accept and forgive because we all aspire to much more but also because we all fail. The Man in Black understood this and wrote some most soulful music about it.

He was the one ccountry musician who appeals to so many other men of all ages and sorts.

I miss him but his canon is so large and diverse that we can mine if for years and never feel bored or repetitive.

Pandorea... Yes, September 12 2003.

Although originally by the Nine Inch Nails, I think that his version is so much better (IMO).

When he sings "and you could have it all, my empire of dirt", it is almost as if he is saying goodbye.
