I get troubled with my friend's yearning to live and earn a high income in the west. I might have bragged too much about my life Sweden, but I am a kind of person who tends to keep problems with herself alone.

I don't know about other, but I do not have much saving at the end of the month. I am not a skilled worker, so I always get a low-paid jobb. However, it is the same everywhere.  I like living abroad, but it is not because of money.

It's getting tough everywhere. We have high percent of unemployed people in DK more than ever and the government is trying to cut down everything, including unemployed money. Thanks God I've got a job.

You're right, living abroad isn't about money.

Well the projected forecast for the UK is for unemployment to hit 3million soon. So hang on to your job if you can. As pandorea says "Its getting tough everywhere"...unfortunately.

yep, hard times and getting worse.European tourists in Thailand or SEA are from now on an endangered species.

I recieve a Swedish Kr salary to a bank here, rate has been stadily going down now for many years. Was 5.6B for 1Kr a few years ago, now it's 4.0.

Working for Norway would give more $$$.

I do think we should talk more about the unemployment and economical crisis in the west so that Thai people have a realistic picture of the west.
