i dont think this question will get you any meaningful answer, i believe the purpose of our lives (apart from procreation) is simply (and profoundly) to experience what it is to BE, each and every moment. Perhaps this is why we are called human beings...we are humans BEing. We make choices every moment of our lives to choose what we wish to experience and be. We choose what part of ourselves we wish to 'bring forward' in this 'now'.

Peemarc - true! Well said. For most its difficult to accept this in the face of adveristy though!

ossie > yes, all of us wish we could blame something or someone else in adversity and we can easily forget that even in the worst times we can still choose how and what we wish to be and experience those times. We do like to convince ourselves that we are not part of nature and life, but we are. Perhaps, in our darkest times, it is our chance to shine our brightest. At least i like to think so.
