Rant, May I ?

My physical checking (yearly) result came out that i have got cholesterol total 253 mg/dl. Information : Normal = 100-200 mg/dlHigh = 201-240 mg/dlDangerous = 241 - upper mg/dl (requires immediately treats)Yes, mine is fall into dangerous level helplessly !FrownEating is my passion, eating unhealthy foods is even more right in my passion. I like oily, greasy, rich creamy foods, preferable to eat carbohydrates stuff like rice, noodle, pasta, bread more than vegetable and fruits ( hygienic, organic foods helps me feel less guilty to self a bit ). So, since now I m in cholesterol concern, I chose to control it by EXERCISE.Recently exercise became something stressful and pain of my life ( let alone yearly fitness membership fee that have to pay ). I expected too much and take things too serious like I felt very upset when a colleague cancelled our badminton hours after work just because she slept late in the morning got no time to prepare things and when we got to play last Monday I took it too much I ran (played) around badminton court 1.5 hrs soaked from my sweat which got me so tired going to work on the next day. I think, I will get my blood checking again soon if the yearly check result could be wrong. Then I would be less stress and take exercise things more easily and as the pleasure. Damn aging !.

Anyway, found this oldie stuff when I did cleaning my study desk last weekend. Teenie oldie me.

I know the feeling about cholesterol mine 6.0 which is a little on the high side I like unhealthy foods as well but now I eat less of that (Sometimes) it bloody hard though!!! Still gotta have a couple of beers though can't be good all the time!!! lol lol Nice pic kus!!!

Well..I was in similar situation a 2yrs ago...short-term diet is not helpfull..must change your eating habits (dont be so dramatic like me/become a vegetarian), try to have less stressfull life..and exercise each day - fitness, pilates...( I choose to exercise yoga, and I recommend it)...I know, it is easy to give an advice, but u will know when u decide to live healthier...Fortunatelly, u re still young (huuh..if compare with me...), so maybe it is right time to start with (small for a start) changes of habits:))

Nong TT, my mom has the same problem and after some month the doctor says she has type 2 diabetes also. In fact, pasta and rice don't increase your cholesterol much. But your should be carful with meats, eggs and seafood. Eat somtam for a month (and avoid grilled-chicken) ;D

Same problem with me. Although I'm so slim but indeed, my cholesterol is high. It was 238 mg/dl last year!!

But believe me, excercise and eatting control ( Avoid eggyolk, squid and oyster, palm oil, eat more fiber) help me a lot to reduce it.

Just had health check again last week and my cholesterol reduce to 203 mg/ dl. Not too bad and I believe you can reduce it too.

How about your LDL-C?? is it still in the range? :)

@ travelraven...actually, i regularly exercise but my bad eating habits get me in this trouble. Now I try to be more disciplin ( ignore cheese cake , eat glass noodle instead of pain noodle etc. ) Hope it helps. (But believe me, i wont become a vegetarian )

@ P' Nicky...Lucky me that i have normal sugar level in blood, my lunch mate surprised of this because they know i like sweet taste of thai foods (as you may know thai foods mostly has sugar added ) I think this because i do exercise. Thank you na ka, you too take care :-)

@ Chibijung...Yours was just in high level but you concern already.. and you also get your eating (passion) in control ( living discipline) so you can reduce it.. eggyolk is my most fav. i even eat only eggyolk when I eat hard-boided egg.

As i dont have personal health checking kit in hand now, do i m not sure what LDL-C is.. lolz. But as i remember i have only problem about my choresterol ( thank god ) :-D
