since everyone seems to be on a rock tip this evening, thought I'd chip in too.Featuring arguably one of the best drummers of all time in Neal Peart and definitely the greatest rock bassist in Geddy Lee, Canada's Rush are often overlooked in the lists of all time greats. (and credit to Alex Lifeson too - an often underrated but brilliant guitarist) First up the amazing YYZ, with a superb percussion solo towards the end of the clip.

Followed by Freewill since its one of my all time fave Rush tunes.

love or hate the voice - but it made Rush a brand for an outstanding classic three men band performance in the field of Prog Rock. There are not many singers that make a band, probably comparable to Pavlovs Dog David Surkamp (who claimed to never having taken any helium to reach those vocal heights).

Rush LPs are always at hand near my record player. My personal favourite song is Subdivision, because of that fat synthesizer sound at the beginning..
