I watched a movie “Cadillac Records” yesterday just to kill the time. I was not much into the play at the beginning, but it start interested me awhile later especially once those beautiful melody and lyrics were on the scene. All musicians in this movie are so great with their amazing music. “All I Could Do was Cry” by Beyonce is one of many that I do like. Gotta check out the original one by Etta James.

I agree Karnie!

A great movie and well played by the actor and actresses. I listen to a lot of blues music and to see some of the singers brought to life was wonderful.

And yes, Etta's version is absolutely the best, but you should see the movie to get a interesting viewpoint of 'why' she sang the song like that. :-)

Cadillac Records was a great movie. I liked Dream Girls also. Jennifer Hudson's performance of Jennifer Holidays "Am I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going" was MARVELOUS! That was the best rendition of that song that I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it, youtube it or check out the movie.

Cheers
