Agree about the religion,religion has thru the years caused a lot of trouble specially christianity and islam.

But I cant get this obsession about having guns,unless you hunt or practice targetshooting.

So in my opinion there should definately be stricter rules about who gets a license to own a gun and without a license it

should not be allowed to buy a weapon.

Banning them all together would never work better to try to control the amount of guns.

Assaultrifles should be banned though they belong in the army not among civilians.

If Governments did not all progress towards totalitarianism and absolute control, I would agree that guns should be under strict control.
