I use a online backup service called DropBox. I get 2 Gig of free storage. I am very happy with the service, the service makes a "dropbox" folder in your Home folder and you copy the stuff you want to backup online to the "dropbox" folder,

Then the Dropbox will sync your stuff to your online dropbox folder, works good, better than iDisk on MobileMe (Apple gonna get me saying that). Also, you can have a "Shared Folder" to share stuff with your buddies:)

Dropbox works with Windows, Mac os x, and Linux, invented by MIT kids, I think the president of the   company is 26 years old.

But would keep sensitive files on such a service? I wouldn't trust them quite that much.

Hobbes: Its a good way to send large files to someone else if u dont wanna bother with usb drives or stuff like that,but of course.. I wouldnt sent sensitive stuff like that. For that information I recommend tattooing it on someone's shaved head, wait until their hair has grown back and then send them off

i like the whole package of mobile me but that idisk is slow unless you use 'Transmit' which for some reason gives it a 30% boost. idisk from your finder is poo as you probably realize but the encrypted sharing facility is awesome.
