PeeMarc 1 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Share I remeber many years ago doing something around the house while the TV was on in the background. Suddenly I heard this sublime violin and a went over to see who was playing. It was of course Vanessa Mae and she was still so young... maybe only 10 years old then... playing Paganini with such brilliance and sheer God-given talent it brought tears to my eyes. I have been a fan ever since. yes, she is awesome. Quote Link to comment
Mike_Sanchez 0 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Share wow.. she would have been in the UK at that time im assuming? It's a shame many of her songs took a dance/techno approach cause her accoustic work is much better (IMHO) however each to our own, and i guess its what made her more mainstram to an extent. My fondest memory of Vanessa was as a young boy myself actually appreciateing classical music for the first time... (all for the wrong reasons of course haha) Toccata & Fugue - In D minor , sitting there with my 13 year old jaw at ground level .. ! Quote Link to comment
English_Bob 6 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Share I remember she had a video playing the violin in a white dress in the sea.... getting wet... and transparent. OK I gotta go... be back in 5 minutes. Quote Link to comment

SoBeIt 6 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Share I have seen a documentary (2008) about her last months. They make the test on her with all the machine and then put her in the test to do many kinds of activities. And as I remember she has her dominant side that is really strong.. And all her childhood that effects her.. Really interesting.. The documentry named "Vanessa-Mae: The Making Of Me" by BBC. Quote Link to comment
Mike_Sanchez 0 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Share so did they say that that dominant side affected her ability to play violin?? hmm interesting Quote Link to comment
