It's the year of the Tiger
The Chinese New Year is the most important holiday of the year in China.
 
Some purchase standing room only tickets. For many it may take them 30 hours before they reach home from the long ride.
 
The Chinese Government estimates that 2.54 billion trips will be taken in total across China in the next 40 days.
  • 210 million by train
  • 29 million by plane
  • 820,000 by bus       
It is considered one of the largest human migrations in the world. I look at these numbers and they just make me say WOW that's a lot of people.
