"Attackers are always finding new ways of duping people into disclosing their personal information. Being well informed and alert is as important as keeping up to date with the latest protection software updates."

I was doing a contract at mcgraw hill which being a publishing company has quite a few mac users. Against all raional thought they allowed them on the network and eventually a virus come through on one of the mac's. Mac's are not infaluable to virus do not buy the marketing hype it's just not been profitable but as people buy the bs from apple and start to use them in more corporate settings you will see virus and spyware will hit them more and more. Their price and lack of offering to 3rd world countries also is one of the reasons why they have been free from it. Since a large amount comes from africa, russia, and course chinese criminals. Where apple has not had a presence and their price has prevented many from being able to have access to computers and the world.

Not sure what you mean by "against all rational thought they allowed them on the network." Are you saying that allowing a computer to access the internet is against all rational thought?
