My understanding was that mother/child bonding was in large part chemical, and temporal. At birth, one (the mother) or both participants experience a large release of the hormone oxytocin. They then bond by spending time with one another.

So, is she bonding/imprinting on her mobile phone? The nursing picture should be entertaining.
