It seems like everybody is jumping on the "green" bandwagon at the moment.

I was interested in this - a fully electric roadster from Tesla. 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds

One of the main reasons I was interested was that Thai taxation on imported cars is based on cylinder size. BUT without a cylinder, import duty is not applicable.

I was looking at a Lotus Exige - a ******* beautiful beast of a sports car that costs about 35k in pounds in UK

BUT after tax in Thailand costs 100k!!!

So I would get the best of all worlds - a fast car, no emissions, no oil tax, no money to the Arabs, great resale value and best of all, without a throaty engine roar, I can sneak up on endangered species and run them down.

On another note, Tesla Motors is suing the BBC and Top Gear for making the car look bad in a road test, by faking a breakdown, and giving misinformation.
