Thinking too much?

About 2 weeks ago I lent a Thai book to a Canadian woman as we work together and she mentioned to me that she wants to study Thai. As a friend, I think my book would help her to study Thai. I brought it to her room and told her to return the book to me by …. as I need to use it for my class (she has about 1 week to make a photocopy). She took it without ‘thank you’.

One week passed, she didn’t return the book to me . . and I don’t have book to use in my class. So I wrote her on facebook to remind her about my book (as I don’t really see her at work even we work on the same floor!) and she wrote back ‘when do you need it? And where can I make a photocopy?’ . . . one of my friend wrote on her wall about the place that she can make a photocopy. About 2 days passed and nothing happen so I can’t wait. I asked her again about my book and she said ‘I already put it in your mail box!’

When I gave the book to her, I brought it to her room but when she returned it to me she put it in my mail box without telling me anything. She has to walk pass my room every day, every morning and also every evening! But she returned the book in my mail box!

And yes I got my book back without ‘thank you’

I am trying to think positively the way Canadian women are. But I really can not and I have made a decision not to give her a hand anymore in any case.

What do you think about this? Am I thinking too much? Is this ok?

I think it can be like this : She was not interested in borrowing the book from you.

Did she ask to borrow the from you? But since you offer to lend it out to her,

she might feel uncomfortable to deny you.

Making a photography of the whole book is illegal. You should just suggest the name of the book and if she is interested in it, she can afford to buy it. It is not that expensive.
