Update after a long pause

I don't remember when was the last time I logged in on this site. It's not that I started having a life outside cyber space, but I was wasting my life away on another website. I actually mean it when I typed "wasting my life away". Most of the stuff on the website I spent my time on are useless, guys cheated on girls, girls cheated on guys, and how to leech out as much money as possible from farang boyfriend. I do ask myself over and over why I spend so much time reading non-constructive stories. I still don't have an answer for myself to this day.

Maybe because it makes me feel better about myself? Maybe it opens my eyes to different group of girls, whom I'd never associate myself with in real life?

I do stereotype and I do discriminate. I have my opinion and I am not afraid to express it. I do feel like an outcast there but I want that type of girls to look at things differently and stop boasting about how much they can leech out of their farang. It makes me feel ashamed of being Thai (somewhat), sharing the same nationality with gold diggers is seriously not cool.

This journal wouldn't be completed without a note on the worst flood in 50 years in Thai history. I have already evacuated, even though no one announces that my area is in danger yet. But it would soon be.

Watching the news, I feel so grateful that at least my family has an option to move away from Bangkok, before the water arrives. I am unfortunate that I can work remotely, as long as I have company laptop, phone and internet connection. I am now 2 hours away from the flood, having ample space, in a relatively convenient location, plenty of food and water, with my family and somewhat stress-free, which is a big plus.

For those who are still in Bangkok, if you can, please leave. Bangkok will be surrounded by water and it'd get harder to commute, and finding food to eat. Don't let yourself be one the flood victims and be a burden to the soldiers, or taking the share of donation from those who need it more than you. Be considerate and stay dry.

Have a great evening to you all.

i live in Ladprao Rd., and water is just right behind my backyard few sois away but i dont feel like to leave yet. I will wait until water reach the kitchen then i will jump in the 4WD wagon (borrowed from the fam, good preparation) and drive to somewhere dry with plenty of fresh foods

I think we look at non-constructive articles as a form of easy entertainment. You don't have to think too much to understand their situation, and you can also feel good that you are not involved in whatever crap they are going through.

But you're right...it's a waste of time and does little to better yourself.

Again, I enjoy your posts, and hope to see more of them.

good to see Dawn Breaking again;

there are gold-diggers everywhere and shouldn't be a label we paint a country with

glad that you are trying to make the best out of a bad situation,

I hope since this is a foreseeable disaster anyone who has reasonable opintion will move where they are safe and conditions (food & water) stable -- please think! folks

Yeah everywhere there are gold diggers trying to get as much money out of foreigners as possible, even during this flood disaster.

The government only wants money from foreign governments, not real help that might have saved lives. The gold digging happens everywhere.

I actually posted a reply a yesterday but it didn't appear for some strange reason.

P'Tu -- I hope your house is still ok, and you have no problem commuting. Water is getting closer and closer to my house now. As a lot of people said "As soon as the water comes, you'll be stress free.". I guess that's very true. Fear kills us worse than reality most of the time.

Bill -- I'm staying safe but missing all my usual shops in BKK. :(

Japamerican -- There was this one horrible story last night. If I have the time, I'll summarize it on here. Might be useful for some guys looking for Thai girlfriends. But you are so right, I need to start reading something else that is more constructive and help improving myself, not those.

Danno -- I'm sure there are gold-diggers everywhere, but Thai is so notorious for it. There are a lot of wonderful things about being Thai though, and I am definitely proud of the good parts. :D

koolbreez -- Can I blame it on the government for settle bad examples to the people? I think the past 5-8 years things are getting much worse in Thailand. people are more materialistic, and the government esp. Mr. T's are doing nothing but encouraging people to be more materialistic than ever, encouraging people to be gold diggers and not trying hard to better themselves. Best way for the gov't to prevent people from being too nosy and interfering with corruption. I didn't mean for this to be political though. :P

Anyway, thanks for all your comments. Those who are living overseas and not in Central of Thailand, stay well, those who are living in the effected areas, stay dry!

How about those Farang who takes advantage on Thai woman. Married them just to be a passport to Thailand the dump her here in her own country. Doing nothing but having sex with 16-18 years old prostitude almost every single night.

You tell me!

Two sides of the story Joey. I detest those scumbags just as much as I detest gold diggers. But I guess I have stronger feeling towards the ladies because I do share the same nationality and I'd be labeled with the "reputation" just as soon as I said I am from Thailand. Regardless of how I am as a person, there'd be a lot of narrow-minded people who'd look at me with disdainful eye just because of where I was born.

I guess you wouldn't have that problem from being a farang. Thai people adore farang, most of the time for the wrong reason. Don't touch on prostitution though. It's totally a different story.

Thanks for your comment.

I know, I know. There are good and bad people in every country. Actually my comment is my own story. I am thinking about sharing my experience here but not sure how to start.

Just get out those first two sentences...then it should flow easily.
