I wish my parents could understand

...When I hang out with a boy it doesn't mean he's my boyfriend.

School's hard and I was trying my best.

I'm a teenager, I don't always have the best attitude.

I try to make the best decisions for myself.

I'm young and want to have fun.

If I'm out all night it doesn't mean I'm drinking or doing drugs.

Not all my friends can be a bad influence.

I feel unless whenever they compare me to other people...

And... I can't go back to Thailand right now because I have no money!!! (((or maybe some reason)))

Just a factual correction, you are not a teenager. You quit being a teenager when you're 19. You're a twenty-something :-)

I think everyone goes through this when they're young. In your parent's eyes, you're still a baby. In your eyes, you are an adult woman. Neither of you is right.

You are no longer a baby but you also aren't a fully mature adult. Your parents will begin treating you like an adult when you can prove that you are an adult.

Your parents aren't just going to wake up one morning and decide to treat you like an adult. You have to prove to them that you can make adult choices and accept adult responsibilities before they're willing to quit treating you like a child and start treating you like an adult.

Everyone has been through this with their parents. And you will do it to your kids. :-)
