The title of this blog post is pretty self explanatory. Ever since my first trip to Thailand back in 2007 I have wanted to go back. But due to lack of jobs and money this hasn't been possible. I must have applied to hundreds of jobs over the last 3 years of unemployment and finally, FINALLY! Someone decided to get back to me telling me that I'd already got through the first stage of the application process. (I guess standards are either beginning to get low or I actually made an appealing application)

The job is in customer service representation working from a call centre. If I do end up getting the job, it'll be a bit of a trek for me 5 days a week as Liverpool is a 45 minute train journey for me but the money seems worth it. Hopefully all will go well and I'll finally be able to get the money together for another trip back to Thailand, hopefully for the Song Kran next April.

Wish me luck!

Over and out.

There is only quite a bit of money in call centres if you are on some sort of commission - and given the recession, sales are down just now. Your hourly wage will be about 7 quid at best, then you have your train travel which will hit you hard too. I'm guessing you still live at home, cos that's about the only way you will get a decent holiday on call centre wages

Not really, other than that incall is easier as far as sales are concerned. But most commission levels are target linked and usually involve upselling. If customer services then you don't have that commission perk either. Mind you, most of the customer services are based in ******* Mumbai these days.
