Our good friend Thaibel (Eric) seems to have gone missing and I'm unable to track him down. He's not answering his emails, and he's lost his mobile. I've contacted the Belgium Embassy, but no luck there. His last visit to TF was April 10, and he was due back in Leuven on May 5..

I've also tried to find his home details via the internet, but no luck. So if anyone in Belgium can help, I'd appreciate it. His full name (as I know it) is Eric Nieuwen and he lives in Leuven. If someone is in that city, or has a Leuven telephone book, could you please try to find his home phone number for me -- or try to call him yourself or go to his home?

Thanks for your comments, everyone. Nee, in my last journal about Eric, you mentioned his GF. Unfortunately, I did not meet her, and I don't know her TF name. Anyway, she apparently ripped him off and then disappeared. Ghee -- if he's changed his SIM card, then he's likely to have a new number. Best hope is to try and get his home phone number or address. The Belgium Embassy in Bangkok doesn't seem willing to help at the moment.

I just called Lai Thai guest house they said there wasn't a guest name Eric Nieuwendijk from Belgium stayed there. I also called AIS call center to track where and when was the last time his mobile phone active and they said I have to notify the police first then take the notify receipt to AIS service center so they'll help us to track his number.

Shall we notice to the police and advertise on the mass media both in Thailand and Belgium? This is a serious case I think we should do something serious now. But all we need is more personal details about Eric.

I forgot to mention Rich (SpeedTriple) saw him get in a taxi to the airport with a girl on April 13th. That was the last time he was seen.

I have just been to the Lai Thai guest house to check the guest book myself, he did not sign in there from April 12 to today.
