So today I was thinking that I have now lived in Thailand for about 2 and a half years and that I know nothing about the current hip/cool music in America. When I was a kid I used to get up and listen to the radio every Saturday morning Top 40 show just so I knew all of the cool songs. I had no idea who half the artist were on the current charts so I did what every red blooded internet user would do and that was download everyone of the songs and give them a listen(RIAA you can relax I deleted everything off my computer read until the end). I started with the Billboard HIP HOP top 10.

1. We Belong Together, Mariah Carey

This is her best album ever????? OK I will agree with that statement it is the top of a pile of crap

2. Let Me Hold You, Bow Wow Featuring Omarion

what happened to the ?Little? should have gotton rid of the wow cause there sure isn?t any in this song.

3. Cater 2 U, Destiny's Child

OK Byonce you made the other girls happy no go back on your own again with your bootylicious ass

4. Free Yourself, Fantasia

Girl I have never heard of, and song I never heard of, and after listening I hope I never hear again I am praying for ?one hit wonder? I ?wonder? why it is in the charts to begin with. This is a song that is probably in a chick flick that wants to have that hip urban edge.

5. Pimpin' All Over The World, Ludacris Featuring Bobby Valentino

Good title, nice job to have, crap song!

6. Must Be Nice, Lyfe Jennings

Another new name for me, hope I never hear it again I think Lyfe and Fantasia should get together and write a song together so that the thing will be used as a super weapon to kill all those that hear it.

7. So Seductive, Tony Yayo Featuring 50 Cent

Ok 50 cent is a cool name, but anyone with the name Yayo should be playing cello (yes I know it is YOYO you pricks) but I will give him credit, this is the only good song on the chart. Too bad the radio has to edit it and leave out the MF?s and N?s and S?s

8. Hollaback Girl, Gwen Stefani

two words WHITE GIRL ???..they should be no where near a hip hop/r and b chart

9. Lose Control, Missy Elliott Featuring Ciara & Fat Man Scoop

two words BLACK GIRL I like missy but this song sucks

10. Make Her Feel Good, Teairra Mari

OK I was expecting something about lesbians or at least bisexuals with a woman singing a song with this title. What a disappointment. CRAP

So after a review of this chart and noting that the current #1 is the only in the chart to hold that position(wow that means there is a lot of great stuff out now) and that every song has been on the charts for 10 weeks or more(dear god that is a long time to listen to crap) I have concluded that the current listeners in America are idiots, (must be if they did not vote for Bo Bice and GW for that matter) Additionally I would not pay for any of this crap. So I did delete every song (RIAA you can still kiss my ass). Sad when my hard drive space is better empty that having this crap. Then I hear that SONY BMG has been paying off radio stations to play their songs and it all starts to make sense. No wonder the record industry is not making more money they blow.

I will stay in Thailand and not know the charts in America I am obviously not missing anything.

go underground son, the action aint in the top 40. definitely curious to hear your take on thai pop music, there seems to be a small amount of (slightly) experimental hip hop that could be interesting.

also you're in thailand, **** the riaa anyway, they nearly killed the music industry by not making a deal with napster right away.

That Top 40 Billboard bullsh*t is just that...bullsh*t. It's always been bullsh*t. The public doesn't have any say in what gets played in rotation on U.S. radio stations. Let alone who gets a Music Award for the so-called chart busters. Those two hip hop jack**ses, two quarters & wanna be Tony Montana, dudes are some of the hip hop music industries commercial toys....they're fcuking hip hop up.

Stick to Thai Pop and sing a song for me will ya.....LMAO.

Hey I am happy to see you all agree with me. I will write up my comments on the "majority" of thai music (dont think it is going to be flattering). I am a long time break beat, triphouse, techhouse DJ so I was not suprised that nothing in this chart was interesting to me. Scoop I am right there with ya.
