I went to Shinjuku to join "Tokyo Fantastic Movie Festival". The opeing movie was "Tom Yam Goong". In the opening ceremony, Minister of Thai Embassy in Tokyo came and delivered opening remarks.

The movie itself was so exciting movie and I'm sure all the audience enjoyed it. Actually, nobody left the theater after the very end of the ending role. (Thai people never watch it, right?) and the theater was full of aplausing!!! I'm not a Thai, but i feel very proud of Thai culture and spirit of Nak Muay.

Last year, series of Korean culture was imported to Japan, but this year and coming year might be "the year of Thai movie" in Japan!!

you can check its link of Tokyo Fanta.

Its because Japanese movie promoters didnt pay attention to Asian movies. They always look only at Farang movies. thats why first run in Japan is latest in Asian countries.

Yes, you are lucky!! I guess VCD/DVD of "Tom YamGoong" is already available at shops, chai mai?

yup!! Tony Jaa has guts!! I like his face coz he doesnt look like idol celebrity with sweet face , but he's face is quite NORMAL khon Thai. We can find a face like him anywhere in Tuk-tuk drivers or local muay Thai fighters. Thats why audience were touched by his fighting action.
