The NFL draft is about a month away. Training camps don?t start for more than another three months. And the start of the season is still five months away. Nonthless... 1. What do you think the Chargers should do with the number one pick overall? 2. What team do you think has thus far made the best off-season acquisitions? Which one the worst? 3. And who is your very early Super Bowl pick for next year? And now I?ll answer my own questions: 1. Since the Chargers have not improved their quarterback position so far, they should go ahead a draft Eli Manning (Peyton?s younger brother) especially since this team is still hurting over the Ryan Leaf fiasco and Drew Brees isn?t getting it done. Had the signed a veteran QB in the off season in the off season, they could?ve traded down to acquire more much needed draft picks for this team with many, many holes. 2. Best off-season: Washington Redskins. They lure Joe Gibbs out of retirement to coach and trade for Clinton Portis (one of the top 5 RB in the league). Worst: Philadelphia Eagles. They paid too much money for DE Jevon Kearse (who gets hurt every year), made an arse out of the team by signing disruptive WR Terrel Owens and let most of the talent in the defensive backfield walk out the door (both starting cornerbacks). 3. And do you even have to ask who is going to win next year?s Super Bowl?the MIAMI DOLPHINS of course.
