Hell yeah... as the topic says....

1st. story is about my Thai ID card... It's a smart card but ppl who work with it aren't that smart. I moved in Nonthaburi since 1st Feb. 2011, I changed the house registration but I can't change my address on my ID card. Cuz the "Smart Card" were ran out... hrrrrrrrrrrrr and they can't tell me when it will come, sounds it will take forever.

2nd story is about my car plate number, I bought it same day as i moved in and now it's entering the 3rd month..Meena still has red plate (it's for brand new car) 1st time the sell person told me that my name went to the "Select Number" list (I told i didn't select number, and I put it in my document already) 2nd time she lost my documents. What???

My friend told me and I found out on website that they don't have enough white plates to replace... gosh!! grrrrrr! ppl who still have red plates have to wait til May... May??? can they stop the police trying to stop my car when I drive at night?

Red plates are the yummy preys for the police. I wanna drive my car to Pattaya and Kanchanaburi. I'm sure I will pay the police at least 400 baht if i take my car out of town especially at night.

lol

These things are the little annoying things about Thailand that drive us crazy.

Sadly though, no-one will take responsibility for messing up...

Can you ask for a letter explaining that the white plates have run out? Maybe you can show it to the police when you get stopped.

This seems like sort of an unrelated comment but wait until you get to the end of what I'm writing.

Here are TF, we're going to be upgrading the servers so hopefully the site will be faster. I had been working with someone at the hosting company about getting a good price and all and then suddenly he disappeared. For more than 2 weeks he quit answering emails.

So I sent a final email saying I would take my business to another company and asking if he had been fired but I also copied (CC'd) the sales@, support@, and several other email addresses at the company. Obviously I caused him to some embarrassment because his response came only minutes after I sent the email.

It was sort of funny because he sent me a message saying, "I included my phone number in a previous message. You could have called."

I responded, "Well, in a previous conversation I told you I'm in Thailand so I don't see a need to incur a $25 - $50 phone bill just because you won't respond to emails. You're an internet company!"

After that, this guy couldn't do enough to help me. He even threw in a free month of hosting ($200 USD value) to make up for the fact that he had put me behind schedule (I had planned on moving TF over last week but now he's eating into my Songkran holiday).

I said I was going to tie this back into Neung's story and this is it. The hosting company I'm dealing with is not in Thailand. It's a farang company. This is how farang company's normally do business. When they mess up, they take the blame and try to kiss your ass.

This is why English_Bob says this kind of stuff drives us crazy. If it's frustrating to you, Neung, imagine how insanely crazy it must be for us who come from a culture where keeping the customer happy at all costs is the norm.

The idea that people don't do their jobs, won't admit they're not doing their jobs, and hide behind saving face in order to try to not admit that they're not doing their jobs can be very frustrating to many of us farangs. And the fact that nobody will apologize to you, admit they they screwed up, or offer you anything for your inconvenience only makes the problem worse.

not at my Amphur then, I and my mom went there lastweek for the eldery pay... and asked if my mom could get the new Smart ID card.

She has an A4 yellow sheet of shitty paper carry around to show that she is Thai citizen.

Well, last month my coworker got stopped by police about her red plate, got only warning cuz she drove after 11 pm. Just a woman with a car and didn't get drunk.

Same as myself...got stopped by the police after 10 pm on Ratchada Rd. again I survive with my stupid smile... I'm sure I don't look like a bad person. and again on Ratchada Rd. Police blocked 3 lanes and waved me to stop... lol but I didn't stop... :P

And I'm sure I never have something wrong, never get drunk, I don't drink if I have to drive.

I speak from my bad experience. No one feel if they are not in that situation before.

Yes, because you have to do the extra work when they don't do their job. If they had to do extra work if some other department didn't do their job you know they would crack down on that quickly. :-)

Again, I do agree...

Plus for many Thai ppl just let this stuff occur and said "Mai Pen Rai" then forget it.

Today I went to the car company, i tried to complain about my lost documents, and their mistake, my dad went there with me. I know he tried to calm me down cuz he had seen how bitchy I was.

I posted on my blog sometime ago about the housing bank, they claimed that I own them 65,000 baht, but the fact I paid them monthly thru my salary bank account. I went there, again my dad came along... The staff there kept tell me the same thing... Then my patient was in the peak of mountain, I stood up and said "Are you trying to cheat me?" with really loud voice, every customers looked at me but i didn't care, daddy tried to stop me.

I went to every buildings of the bank, and tried to find out what was happening to me, until I found out, it wasn't my fault, they installed new system and my name was in another list so I had to pay more but no one charge me for 3 years so I had to pay for more interests and fine... No one say "sorry" No one take "Responsibility" and my dad wanna pay 65,000 baht to end it. I didn't wanna pay.. I didn't wanna end it that way. I'm not the one who force them change bank IT system. They did it, and their systems suck. Finally someone who took care of contract between my company and the bank said.. it wasn't my fault (but she didn't say sorry) she said I still had to pay 18,000 I quite shock daddy just gave it to her, he said he want recieve and document show that his daughter paid it. Then he dragged me out.

If I had money I wanted a lawyer, it's not right.
